Behind every scholarship offered through the Fond du Lac Area Foundation is a donor, family, business, or organization that wanted to help students from Fond du Lac County reach their goals. Some scholarships honor the memory of a loved one. Others support students from a particular high school, community, or field of study.
This directory lists the scholarships offered through the Foundation, so you can see who each one is for before you apply. We invite you to browse, and when you're ready, one common application in the Scholarship Portal considers you for every scholarship you qualify for.
Each scholarship has its own criteria, set when the scholarship fund was established. Criteria often include the high school you attended, where you live, your field of study, the type of degree you're pursuing, whether you'll be enrolled full time, financial need, academic performance, and your activities and community involvement. Some scholarships are renewable, and most are awarded for one year.
Most scholarships are awarded through the common application, so you don't need to apply to each one separately. A few, called community-based awards, use a separate application, and each listing explains how to apply.
